Safeguarding

Brentwood provides a safe learning environment where all our child and adult learners feel safe, secure and valued. Our child and adult safeguarding policies are written with the underlying principles outlined in:

  • Keeping Children Safe in Education Part 1 2021
  • Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
  • The Care Act 2014
  • The Mental Capacity Act

At Brentwood we promote a culture of keeping our students safe and our staff are trained to implement policies, practices and procedures which promote safeguarding and the emotional and physical well-being of all our students.

Designated Safeguarding Lead: Jude Lomas

Deputy Safeguarding Leads: Jane Roberts and Katie Meredith

Safeguarding and promoting welfare is integral to all areas of Brentwood school life.  Due to the shared site, staff at Brentwood School and College work to both the Childrens' and Adults' safeguarding policies:-:-
