What is a Family Support Worker?A Family Support Worker (FSW) is a supportive role in which positive relationships are built between the FSW, parents and families, carers, school and service providers. A FSW will aim to breakdown any barriers; they will communicate with you and support your child/young person's learning by helping to address issues arising from events in school or at home.
My role has been developed to work across school supporting class teams, the school nurse, therapists and the school Family Support Advisor to ensure student health care and medical needs are met. |
